I came home and noticed this white patch under my avicularia metallica




What's going on? All 7 of my other ts don't have this, I'm extremely worried cause this was my first t

Looks kind of like a white fluid, maybe haemolymph? If it is, that might not be a good sign since it could imply that your Avic is "bleeding."

Nematodes maybe? You need to isolate this T from the rest of your collection ASAP.

I just did an underside examination and it looks like considerable less of the white stuff



I still don't want to take any chances, this is the first t I've ever owned and she means a lot to me

Yeah I lost a lot of TS to nematodes a few years ago, I also had a black phorid fly infestation once too. Recently a few months ago a P regalis juvie somehow got them...

Sometimes what appears as nematodes is just poop, what other symptoms it the tarantula showing? Any erratic behaviour?

You should probably swab it and test it. It doesn't look like normal nematodes though. In my opinion it just looks like she got some feces on her. I hope your Avic will be okay! D':

Yeah it looks like poop, does not like my Spiders that died of nematodes.
