Slings are fascinating

It's amazing how different three sibling slings can be. My three 1/2" to 3/4" pulchra slings have quite different behaviors.

Sling 1 is calm, eats greedily and quickly, and has rearranged all the substrate almost daily.

Sling 2 is skittish as can be and likes to run around with its abdomen in the air. It ate a prekilled cricket last week but is refusing this week. It also has only excavated a tiny little hole in the corner. Guess it could be in premolt, but it's hard to tell with such a small, dark sling.

Sling 3 is calm, eats fine, but likes to hold its prey for an extended period while standing on its tiptoes. It also has done some impressive excavation, but nothing like sling 1.

I didn't expect such variation in their behaviors!

Yep, they all have their own behaviors. I have some pulchripes that basically do exactly what yours does.

Evolution at work. With all the dynamics in their native habitat, and the changes in it over the millenniums, odds are some will be doing the right thing and survive.
