this kind of "Handling" (seems more like abuse to me) is just wrong, and stupid. You want your T to die fast? Here you go, do like this jerk.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjoexDVIGG0

Handling is just bad for a T. I dont care if your T wont bite, or how docile it is. There is enough to suggest that not only the stress, but the oils on our skins can be extremely harmful to tarantulas.

Whats wrong with pumping your fist wildly like an idiot while your t is dangleing precariously from your oafish hand???
I'm wondering about the statement about our skin secretions being harmfull to ts, you feel like hittin me with some knowledge?
At the risk of fueling another handling debate, I agree handling ts is generally a no no.

I am pro handling, however this a hole is certainly not doing it like he should. That irritates me and hopes he catches a bunch of hairs.

Loved his advice. I'm headed to the store in the morning, turns out I have been administering water all wrong, they need a sponge...wow, lucky I haven't had a mass die off. He apparently has no clue as to the species wildly fluctuating attitudes as well. And if he handled mine like that, I'd punch him...hard. I couldn't really locate ANYTHING of value in that "educational" video.

What a knob.

Not quite sure what this is. asbestos sides, ball of white bread dough, with some backyard garden dirt and stick?

was going to write up something but figured it would be more befitting to just link some stuff:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sebaceous_gland
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eccrine_sweat_gland
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apocrine_sweat_gland

one thing all these have in common is the excrete a waxy acid like substance. It is strong enough to break down the fibers in your carpets.
Can not be good for a T.

Jungle Bob does birthday parties! He can bring a rose hair for each small, arachnophobic child to play with. I'll get some sponges for the adults to do sponge shots with (because i mean the Ts drink out of them in the wild, so why cant we?) Winner winner chicken dinner.

there any other sites you can link? Wikipedia is definently not a great source to get your information from or trustworthy enough to use all the information from.

Thats funny, considering it can be used when writing university papers. Even without the sources apply a little common sense. How many sweaty, dirty, oily, bacteria covered hands to tarantulas live on in the wild?

This guy actually owns a reptile store near me on long island NY. the store is obviously called jungle bobs. its a great store for reptiles and amphibians but apparently not for tarantulas. its actually my favorite reptile store so its pretty annoying to see him bounce around this rosea and tell people to use a sponge in the water dish :/

yeah repxotica is pretty awesome except i reallly don't like how they keep their tarantulas. if i ever wanted a snake or something i would go there. they have really cool ball pythons.
