Nice haul.

Every so often you'll see someone make a fairly long, possibly interesting, possibly educational, well thought out post, and then right before they hit "submit", they add one last line....that disrupts it all. :bomb:

Seriously Nice haul!!! Lay down the law and tell her that's the way it is hahaha with the caveat you won't get anymore until one dies.

Or trade some for a Rose Hair.

So did I. I'm at 16... I tell myself it's enough.

You grabbed some SWEET species there! Some essential beginners (which are still great Ts) and some awesome collectors Ts (dat 5" metallica tho)

I'm jealous.

I'm going to assume (as a woman) that your wife was less concerned about the number of tarantulas, and more the number of dollars this grand acquisition set you back. Care to talk figures, or does a gentleman never spend and tell?

Nice pokie pick ups. I've got my eye on either P. metallica or P. tigrinawesseli later this year. I'll probably go with the tigrinawesseli first, since metallica seem to always be available by the handful these days.

Indeed. Seems like a haul like this would cost quite a lot.

No doubt that's the root of the problem: "Good news honey, look at all the spiders I got! Oh, and one minor detail. We're not going to be able to pay the rent this month, and maybe not the next. But look at these spiders! Beautiful plumage."

I'm surprised the rufi gender is unknown because you can use the dot method to sex them by ~ 2"

Right. Give all those unknowns the del cup/flashlight treatment. You'll soon have things sorted out.

And I hate to say it, but we have a lot of posts from people here that seem to encourage this type of thing.

Yeah, color me green with envy too. The Brachys especially. I am a professional -- must be in the wrong field -- I could not afford to buy all those at once without pulling out a plastic card.
Congratulations on your haul!
(will check pix threads in case there are some posted already)

And I know some will think I'm crazy but I'm not a huge fan of the poecs. So I think they will hit classifieds soon.

Also a p. Irmini was in there too

Those Poecilotheria sp. would be very easy to sex ventral. You should take ventral photos. Same as the geniculata, chromatus and pulchripes.

He was pushing 20. I gave one to my dad he likes l. Parahybana and he had two OBT's which I told him to hold on to. Then I wanted to place my OBT's as I have been trying to for sometime so that just worked out great. It's great to meet people like that, he was sincerely sad about watching them go.
