just started Culturing waxworms... questions?

I just set up a culture of waxworms, and I was wondering if anyone with experience could answer these questions for me:
They won't get stuck in the honey/bran mix right? It's a little bit gooey and I'm just concerned that they could get stuck and die, and then I have to toss the whole culture out.

and then I can just use any old bran right? I found some flax/ pumpkin seed stuff in my pantry and I blended it with a bit of dog food too, then I put the honey in until it was a paste and I coated the bottom of a glass jar in it.

I don't think they'll get stuck in it. Maybe try using more bran than honey.

What's the honey to bran ratio?

something around 2-3 parts bran, one part honey.
