Do you guys know if there are trapdoor spiders in the Coachella Valley?

I do not know about the valley itself but I have seen them out in the hills around Desert Center.

Your best bet would be north of the highway around the preserve. Of course collecting from the preserve is illegal but you can scrounge the surrounding area. Joshua Tree NP, and San Jac wilderness area are better bets. In the valley itself from Thermal through PS they spray the hell out of everything with insecticides. Mustn't annoy the big $$$ vacationers.
