Anyone else keeping/kept Acladocricus sp? Mine have mysteriously died off one by one over a year, the last two finally kicked it recently. I was really, really looking forward to seeing their adult colors too. I'm not sure what I did wrong but I sure feel like a failure. I kept them the same as all my other pedes, maybe they're more sensitive to temperature fluctuations or some other environmental parameters?

I've had a similar experience. They are sensitive to their environment like flamelegs from what I can tell. I believe I have 4 nearly adult animals. I lost 5 pretty large ones when my substrate became foul after my flamelegs laid eggs due to the rapid growth of the young (lost all adult flames also but most young survived) in a terrarium thing. this is why I stress lean substrates, etc. You've hear it before. The substrate. Its the substrate. Not sure what exactly goes wrong but drier, leaner = safer. I lost a few before that with a pretty wet substrate.
