I also have a few questions. How do people manage to collect the fruit flies from these 32 ounce deli cups and get them to the reptiles?
And are the mealworms from walmart not safe for pet insects?

Most pet stores sell fruit fly cultures, they're wingless. They just keep breeding and usually last a month or so.
