I was wondering why is my tarantula shy at times and other times not shy at all?

Why are any animals shy at times and other times not shy at all? They don't have to be in one consistent "mood" constantly. :?

I think it can be best summed up as: 'sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't.' They're not robots. They respond to many different stimulae, internal and external, most of which we don't understand.
