hey guys first post on here. Im new to this whole centipede hobby.
so here's what I found last week.
It's an Aussie pede but im unsure of what sort. Its about 3.5 inch and very reclusive. Ive got it in peat moss soil and some coco peat. I tried to mimic the soil it was caught in.
hope the picture works.

Ok so after 45min of walking through the bush this morning I have found another 4 pedes.
I tried a different spot today which is only a 2min drive from home. I despise ppl who dump their unwanted furniture and rubbish in the bush but today it served a purpose. I found another 3 4inch pedes n a pede that ive been chasing for a while. The infamous blue legged centipede ( Scolopendromorpha Polymorpha). He/she is only 1.5" but its a stunner. Pitty I cant get a decent picture.

Can't open the photo in your second post. It's likely something else as there are no Scolopendra polymorpha in Oz.

There are a couple of members here that may be able to ID these if they stumble by.

Well yesterday was another good day. Caught another 2 4" pedes which I released after some thought. So walking back to my car noticed a small
rotting log which I couldn't walk past without having a little dig.
After 2 minutes of digging around I now have a 2nd blue pede. The blue ones are alot faster than other specie I have.
As I said im new to the centipede game but im totally impressed of their tunneling tactics and all the little openings they have on top of the soil.
I was given quite a show the other night. I put a cricket in an enclosure and the pede just had its antennas Slightly below one of the "doors" on top of
the soil. Well, when the cricket got close enough the pede launched itself and smashed the cricket.
il post the vid soon.
