Hello friends,
I have sort of problem. My L.Violaceopes sling ~L2 is acting weird.
He was ok, he was eating, building his web and etc., but today I saw
that he is barely moving, he putting his legs under his abdomen from
time to time and he kinda looks like a dieing T. Despite that, he was healthy,
never refused a meal and he just finished his webbing yesterday so I don't
know what could be the problem. P.S. The food that he was given is good, other
T's are eating the same food and they're okey and never have been better.
Please, give me any advice on how I can help little fella and ,,bring him back to life". (He's not dead)
Thanks.

Could just be gearing up for a molt?
I've had slings act similarly to yours which would curl their feet under, then molt upright. However, I've also had slings die for no apparent reason...
When they're still tiny it's hard to diagnose the problem other than any environmental issues like temp, humidity, ventilation or mold. If all seems ok, then you're doing all you can.
*Fingers crossed*

Thanks for your opinion, Kevin, lets just hope that it is getting ready for
a molt.

I have Ts that do that all the time (mainly my P.regalis). I think it's fine as long as they don't put all their legs under.

How do you keep the sling? L. violaceopes require a bit more moist enviroment and don't like it dry or bonedry.

I have LV's in all sizes, and have hatched out 3 sacs. Yes, they do seem to need more moisture and humidity than other arboreals, and of all the spices I own, LV are the most prone to molting problems. Do not keep them dry.

I agree. Moist substrate is important when keeping L. violaceopes.
