Rotten wood and leaves is accepted by most species, as most are detritavores. I belive there are some that feed on live plants, however.

What do you guys feel is the best substrate for millipedes?
I use potting soil for the five species of millipedes I keep. I offer dry leaves and rotten wood to all my millipedes. The AGBs seem to eat leaves and wood the best. However, they also seem to eat everything the best. :}

I also keep pillbugs (rollie pollies) and earthworms in with my millipedes. This seems to keep the soil healthy and the tank clean.
