I have a question about raising the larvae of Dynastes sp. rhino beetles. I know that the larvae must be kept in a mix of rotting hardwood, but living where I do makes it very difficult to find hardwood. The only hardwoods that grow in abundance here are cottonwoods. Are those suitable to rear the larvae in?
