I believe they lay eggs in sub so around 2 inches should work. Misting the enclosure is a good idea but slugs can be sensitive to chemicals so try for bottled water. A good top will be needed to contain them. I have no idea how big baby slugs are so probably want to be careful with the holes.
Feed them things that they destroy in my veggie garden lol. Cucumber, lettuce, etcetera.
Some species can reproduce Without need for another slug. You can probably figure that out if you can figure out the species .
I don't think they are particularly difficult to breed generally speaking. Don't let things spoil and you should have a small colony going within a couple months. I was going to breed them for my toads but thankfully they took to mealworms/crickets just fine and my isopod colony is coming along nicely.
