Did you feed superworms lately? If so, I wouldn't be surprised if one of those started to chew through the corkbark. Happens all the time when I keep an amount in a box with corkbark pieces.

Looks like sawdust, from an insect(s) living in the cork. Soak the cork and it'll leave.

Was a bloody meal worm....went through all his sub the other day thought I'd got them all....obviously not lol
