Where in Chile is Euathlus sp. red/orange/yellow/flame/whatever from, anyway?

From my knowledge of the species and South American geography and climate, I presume in the north or possibly the center?

Also, will my tarantula be happier if I violently shake the enclosure once every few years to simulate an earthquake?*

*(To be clear, that's a joke.)

I found this

https://sites.google.com/site/chiletarantulas/theraphosinae-sp-forma-roja--1

If you translate it, let me know what you found.

Overview of the regions too

I punched that into google translate and this is what I got:

Geographic distribution : Limit Region VI and VII to VIII region of Chile ; Chimbarongo , Vilches , San Fabian de Alico , Sagrada Familia, Yungay.
It is found under large rocks where contruyen deep burrows , it is not uncommon to see them near the rivers.
Note: Gender unknown to Chile whose representatives were only cited for Argentina , Brazil, Peru and Uruguay .

So, from that I can extrapolate central Chile, ranging further south than I would have expected. Thanks for the link; I've been curious about it for ages.

Que pasa mi amigo! Bien, y tu? Mi tarantulas estan bien tambien, muchas gracias, y tu Ts? I've been traveling for work and my work often lasts into the evening. I'm still around though.

Can someone find me the docs/news that shows Chile stopped exporting? I haven't been able to find the actual information.

Careful with that page you linked viper, the E. sp. "blue" (pulcherrimaklaasi according to Schmidt) is listed on there as "truculentus" probably because of the fact that the male later on was IDed as a truculentus indeed. To my knowledge the female was -not- truculentus however!

Just putting out some geographic info on E sp Red, the rest is not my concern.
