Try up in big bear I found two different species of scorpions by flipping rocks in morning and mid day. Also found many burrows but didn't have the arse to dig em up. Aswell found one in my sleeping bag, and one under the cooler when we left :) one was an anadactrus s[eplling] and the other I couldn't get identified.

Where exactly do most scorpions prefer to live anyway(generalization). A guy told me they hide in similar spots to black widows-says he found one in town in a woodpile. I haven't run across any myself-so I'm guessing I'm checking the wrong spots.

Scorpions usually build scrapes under debris, stones, and even build burrows or reside in abandoned ones.

I have found a total of about ten scorps in about a year of looking and 9 of those I found in one day up in the mountains the other I found in san berdandino all of them even the one I found in the valley were under old planks stones or any other 'flat' structure with minimal to no clearence between it and the ground other then where the scorp dug under..
