since the search engine isn't working at the moment (just me??) I'll ask before i can do any research...with the recent discussion in some threads about people wanting active scorpions it got me thinking.
What time of night do your scorpions become active? I'm going to guess that it varies with species depending on their aversion to light.
My H. arizonensis would come out not long after dark...7-8ish, haven't had it long enough and out of it's burrow recently enough to accurately recall the time.
My Smeringus mesaensis...never really seen it doing anything but sitting in craters it digs in the sand or inside it's clay pot.
And my Babycurus jacksoni's...more visible tonight than usual, i'm thinking it is because I misted their enclosure heavily earlier this evening (and my Ttoo, it's also out of it's burrow and cleaning itself). They were out at least before 9PM when I went in there to check on them. 3 of the 5 were out in the open (two on the ground, one on the fallen "tree") and a 4th was just outside the communal scrape, the 5th was still hiding deep inside.
That's all i have to report
