I have no clue to as how old they are.
they've all been store bought or ordered in by them.
When asked they said they had no idea either.
Im guessing they must be mature as i have yet to see a molt.
hopefully they breed before the end of their time.

Theyre old enough to breed, you can see by the dark color of their telson, I was just wondering how old they were, but your setup looks fine to breed, as long as the humidity levels and temps are ok.

fixed the lid!
but now it seems a little too moist in there and its only at 70%humidity
If your wondering why i think its 2 moist well its because i couldnt see through the aquarium glass too read the humidity because of condensation when i went to check it.
Is this normal? If so wont mites be getting there in a hurry?

If there's condensation at the side of the terrarium, then the humidity's probably higher than 70%. Most cheaper hydrometers (like my crappy $3 one :p ) tend not to be that accurate with their readings.

Wut's up? Does anybody think mixing a hetrometrus spinifer..female
with a female emp would cause complications for the breeding male.

I have been wondering how keeping both species together would work. Keep us posted on this. It's interesting. ;)

Species mixing

Brian I've been Keeping these three(3) scorps together now for some time and have no trouble other then an odd fight for a hide. but other then that they get along great.. The only thing i was wondering about was? would keeping them together affect the breeding process due to a territory issue between the two(2) females-----hetro and emp?

hmm
this heterometrus ID buisness is driving me up the wall... so many "H.spinifer" variations!

the heterometrus will not interfere with the emps breeding, and as long as you keep her single, her anger wont be the death of one of your emps

remember, people have done this before, and deaths have been reported from both sides,

what will you do if the forest scorpion kills your gravid female emperor?
what will you do if the gravid emperor kills the other 2?

keep an eye out :p they seem well fed, so, good job so far

*what brian said*
