hi
lots of people have the same problems
Hottentotta are hard to ID
its either H.polystictus, H.trilinatus, H.eminii or H.minax
hopefully someone can ID them soon

H.polystictus has a large colour distribution, they go from yellow to brown to yellow with black etc etc

I would say H.polystictus instead of H.trilineatus, but it's just a feeling...(and also because I've already seen dark polystictus but never dark trilineatus).

well, molecular biology and genetics provide sufficient sharpness of research, but I don't really want to put it in to flask. It's pet for me, not subject of research. Is it possible to determine by simple hp 5,2Mp? I don't have microscope and even through there are a lot of variations.
This one, well, it's not dark. It may look in picture, but it's something like this  or  (Look at the colors, not stupid faces.). I have no data bout origin, location and natural habitantion conditions and as I already had 2 scorpions that died I'm not willing to lose this one too. That means I must care for it in a right way.
