For a week now I have had this 4" B smithii from a collection. That they had been neglected for some time was obvious. The day I got them and put in water dishes, this one buried her face in the water dish for hours. In the last week she is often deep in the water drinking. She seems sort of stressed standing attentive, sometimes with a leg or two curled under her. :(

The spider looks healthy, but I have never seen a T drink this much!

Any ideas?

Dehydration and a pending molt. It sounds like it is really trying to rehydrate itself. The molt process takes quite a bit out of them and she is probably prepaing. Give it some time and it will probably settle down.
