wow,
they look like they are from the subgenus chersonesometrus, from Java or the South Asian islands like Malaysia and Indonesia??

i think that the first one is perhaps a Heterometrus longimanus female, and in the second picture, they look like H.cyaneus or H.liophysa?

can you get us better pics please?
please as in i NEED them to live :p

this species looks rare, that female looks like H.cyaneus, that male looks like H.longimanus........ but the telson should be smooth......

please post better pics?
im working on this right now :)

also: where are they from?

Probably, scorpions have come from Indonesia.

All scorpions look just the same. I have bad apparatus (SONY DSC-P41 :( ), has problems with balance of whiteness. Maybe I have better apparatus tomorrow. ( I assign money on new apparatus on expedition for iran. :) )

It looks like you have a rather thin layer of substrate...

this one i am SURE, its definately H.cyaneus!
-------------------------------------------------
the other one, is a different species, because in H.cyaneus the males and females are the same (no sexual dismorphism)

in indonesia you get: H.cyaneus, H.longimanus or H.liophysa

so the other specimen is either H.longimanus female, or H.liophysa female
i think.. as males have LONGER claws, but seeing as we have no comparaison.i cant be sure

EDIT2: expect babies from the H.cyaneus :)
