i've had two

one was significantly more aggessive than any of the P.imps (emperors) i've seen. she was still handleable, but would hiss from time to time. she also managed to cut some of my soft wrist skin with her ungues :)

i loved her and was sad to see her go :(

another note: the bugzUK ones are very battered, and the guy doesnt keep them well
he sold them to me on this kinda glittery gold substrate

they are VERY agressive though, one has already tagged me

it looked like bits of wood, with glitter on it, i threw it all away at the show, but it annoyed me that they were so poorly kept

here is a pic of one (after it had eaten about 10 jumbo crix)
its covered in this white stuff (not excretement)

i havnt, but i keep them all separate, when i put them together they act threateningly towards each other, and one ends up going beserk and trying to escape.

you should only keep them together in a communal setup if you have a group from the same brood, and even then you are still taking risks!

Hi all, just got my Heterometrus Spinifer today, looks pretty awesome, taken down a giant locust already! only had him ten minutes!! Thanks george for your help, how old is the spinifer in the picture? Mine relatively small at the moment.

Goint to keep them separate as buying them individually.

Hi David
no idea how old seeing it was WC
the size varies from around 9-10cm for the smallest adults to about 14cm for monster huge ones :p
i have a dead "monster huge one" from Cambodia while it was still in the French empire!
thats history for you eh? :p (its 14cm, and probably twice as well built as my ones)

can you post any pics?
id love to see a pic of the Thai ones the guy from Bugsdirectuk has
