about a month ago I caught a 3" A. Hentzi and immediately noticed it only had 7 legs. So I didn't think much about it. However, it molted last week and still only has 7 legs, and I've seen the under side of it while it was against the side of the kritter keeper it is in and it appears not to even have a position for leg #6, just like it was never there. 4 legs on 1 side and 3 on the other and it all looks normal, as if it has always been that way.

anyone else come across this before? or am I way off?

Yeah our P.regalis we had he lost a leg and didn't reginerate it back and the moult after the last one he did. It could have lost it so close to the premoult that it couldn't reginerate the leg. Next moult however it should reginerate :)

It takes time- the regeneration doesn't just happen in one molt. I have a B.boehmei that I got as a sling missing a leg, and it took 3-4 molts for it to be normal- first molt there was nothing there either.
