10q... yes the third pic is a T blondi.
The First photo is Chaetopelma aegyptiaca.
here is the a photo of the male: (and some others) :)
For your information David, Chaetopelma aegyptiaca has been found to be synonymous with Ischnocolus gracile. This species was then transferred to Chaetopelma so the correct name for this is now Chaetopelma gracile.

There is much study to be done on the Chaetopelma genus in the reigon, however, for the time being, Chaetopelma aegyptiaca is no longer a valid name.

(The book you took this from is out of date.....)

C. aegyptiacum Ausserer, 1871 = C. gracilis (Ausserer, 1871) (Vollmer, 1997: 5).

Vollmer, P. Chaetopelma karlamani sp. n., (Araneida: Theraphosidae: Ischnocolinae) eine Vogelspinne aus Nord-Zypern. Tarantulas of the World, Ausgabe 16, Dec. 1997: 4-18.

Yea, one of many mistakes in that book...
And as for the latin name, it is as terps has answerd - so yes, it is scientific. I am currently starting a study on the T's in the region. It is still only begining, but I can tell there is a lot to sorten out - for one thing, it isn't the only species of Theraphosidae living in Israel ;) .
