Nice pics man. One thing though, what made you decide to hold your pede? Scary stuff, I don't got what it takes to do that.

Hey Waspa there isn't "albino" in invertebrates, only "color morphs"
and how are those pedelings doing afterwards?

Hey Randolph, what about that african giant land snail? Last time I checked it counted as an invertabrate.

Jeezus you got bigger <edit> than me to hold a pede. I tried holding one about an inch long (local pede) and it nailed me... best of luck. And oh by the way... awesome pix.

Hi waspider,

thats a really nice morph of S. s. mutilans. I saw one of the for sale recently at the BTS, but it was about £20 so i decided not to get it.

Has the S. subspinipes had it's fangs clipped?

Cheers,

there CAN NOT be albinism in inverts. the color you perceive is a result of, in part, refraction of light off of cuticle, not reflection of light off of pigments.

albinism, by definition, is lacking melanin, a pigment.

you can certainly see a white color morph, however.... it just isn't an albino

So using correction fluid doesn't make them albino? Awwww... all those wasted hours.

Those Rhinocricus spec are very nice looking. They're almost the inverse of my Puerto Rican Yellow/Black millipedes - black body with yellow bands, instead of the other way around {D
