I found this in my yard last week. I am keeping it (at least for now). It is alreadying feeding. More docile than my C atrox but still treat with respect ;)

Nice Brian, beautiful pattern, that would be a keeper for me also. I have been working my butt off lately trying to find some Southerns, but to no avail. I'm moving out to the "sticks" Wed. so maybe my luck will change. :)

That is one nice looking snake. Is this the first copperhead you have kept?

Lelle, I found it in my yard but I can get you some photos of the surrounding habitat. In fact I will do that when I get home tonight. :)

Awesome snake, Brian. Is this one still pretty young? Can't wait to see the habitat pics.

LOL it didn't have time to go shake in a corner. The snake had it almost as soon I dropped it in.

That is one monster feeder, is it tough to get them to start feeding when they are brought in from the wild?
cheers

This one wasn't but sometimes they can be. I fed this one 2 or 3 days after I caught it and it feeds like a champ.

That is wicked, copperheads really are gorgeous, "they" should make some non-hots look as nice, i mean imagine a python that looked like an eyelash viper, those bright colors, it is silly i know but come on just imagine.
cheers
