This thread isn't quite finished, but i believe these are the species that you might be able to find in WI

None, sorry all Cheddar Heads... but you DO have Scolopendramorphae, just not the classic Scolopendra genus Giants of the Giants :(

Scolopocryptops sexspinosus DMbRS GIS
. . . Range: Southern edge of WI

Genus: Cryptops

Cryptops hortensis DMbRS GIS
. . . Range: spot occurances in southern half of WI.
. . . Note: this is an introduced and establishing Euro species :)

[size=+1]Sub-family: Plutoniuminae[/size] (gee that sounds pretty carverniculous... Pluto being the god of the underworld and all...)

Theatops posticus: DmbRS GIS
. . . Range: Almost to extreme SE corner of WI, also in CA :)

Theatops spinicaudas DMbRS
. . . Range: Just misses southern border of WI
[size=+1]Sub-family: Cryptopinae[/size] (eyeless, i think) Not *quite* in WI

What I'd like to know, do we have any here in Iowa?

Or are we just doomed to giant pigs?

i'll trade you an SW. polymorpha for a giant pig

what temp/RH would i keep it at?

Tolerates varying ranges of humidity
Be sure to have LOTS of ventilation

ok, i found one giant centipede you can find in WI... introduced from europe...
Crytops hortensis. it looks like a big stone centipede :)

check post 1 for the details :)
