I was just wondering if it is normal for an Avicularia avicularia to molt in it's little webbing they make. Mine did, and I found out as I was misting the cage last night. I was surprised because it almost looked like there were two of them in there. It molted in it's web-dwelling it made inbetween the plant and glass. Now, most tarantulas (to my knowledge) molt on the ground, on their backs. This little guy molted right on the side of the tank. How normal is this? Should I expect it to molt there in the future, or would it molt on it's back on the ground at times?

Yup- totally normal! My avic always surprises me with molts-I can predict all my other T's, but not her. She's a finicky eater, so that doesn't always tip me off. Then suddenly her web looks very crowded, and I realise she molted! Congrats!
