When is a sling no longer considered a sling? Our A.versi molted last Saturday and is now about 1.5" and I just wondered at what size do they go from being a sling to being a juvie?

I still call mine a sling because it's got its baby colors and it's close to 1.75" if not bigger.

In general its just a term used so it really has no significance. It depends on the species I'd say as there are some big babies out there. I probably would start calling mine a Juvie once it starts looking like its bigger version.

It depends on the species. Usually in theory when a sling starts to show full adult colors then it's considered juvenile until it reaches adult size. Based on my experience.

Thank you :) I just got to wondering about that and then I started looking at care sheets, and species info, but nothing was clear about when they are a sling, a juvie, a sub adult.
