Thanks for sharing the photo!

Have an educated guess? or thoughts on it in general?

Is this something that's recently been discovered?

Hi,
I do have some thoughts, but I don't want to say anything until I'm certain ;) It has only recently been discovered and I can say you most likely will not have seen any others from this genus!! This spider is in a geographically isolated pocket, similar to what might be seen on an island.

@Anthony, they get to about 15cm or so, reasonable size. Of course we don't know of so many specimens now we can be certain, they may get bigger, but of the few found so far, about 15cm.

Cheers,
Steve
