ever find any info on restrictions?? im looking for some jungle nymphs but didnt find anything YET (just began my search tonite tho). maryland dnr website says nothing, dont know if thats good or bad :wall: im starting to get frustrated.

All exotic phasmid are classified as "potential plant pests" by the USDA and require a permit from said gov't body to own them. They rarely issue permits to private individuals, unfortunately.

That doesn't mean there isn't a lot of people rearing them here, but it is sort of an "underground" hobby. They've been reared for decades before the USDA decided to regulate them, and have never become pests, but they classify nearly all insects as potential pests, even prtory ones like mantids.
