Hi all,

I'm new to the boards and scorpions pretty much too for that much. I've kept reptiles for the past 7 years though (bearded dragons are my favorite) anyways, years ago when I was younger and still living with the parents I brought home a flat-rock scorpion wasn't really sure how to take care of it but I did best I could then. They eventually made me get rid of it and I was just in a pet store the other day where they had baby flat-rocks.' My passion flared back up, I want to get it and I have a 10 gallon tank and a top with locks, I just need to know the basics for taking care of the lil' one before I get it, ie - substrate, lighting, food, etc.

Thanks,
David

A flatrock scorpion is a dry region scorpion that prefers lots of rocky hiding places, hence its name. Dry peatmoss, sandy soil or reg. potting soil will suffice. Temp 75-85, humidity, keep it around 75%, which is like a slight misting once a week. shallw dish. PRetty easy to keep, feed like any other scorp. Good luck!
