I was fortunate enough to get outside and go herping yesterday and today, thanks to the weather. So, here are some of the highlights...

Pic 2: Northern Prairie Skink (I don't think Eumeces is a genus anymore so... I don't really know it's latin title...)

I'm glad I didn't run into any of those snake while I was out scorp hunting a few weeks ago. Luckly I only came across a few Ring Necks,great pics.

Did you come across any Scorps or Pedes? Also were you collecting in the lawrence area?

Yes, all the organisms pictured were found in Lawrence and not more than a mile from each other. I didn't see any C. vittatus, but I found a large Scolopendra sp., which I believe was S. polymorpha. I got a good look but no pictures, unfortunately. That said, I haven't had much pede-wrangling experience so it evaded me with relative ease.
