Does anyone have experience with these creatures, and where can you get them?

Deinopis subrufa is the type I am interested in.

Hi there,

where you from?

I´m also quite interested in this genus, but they are very hard to get. That means, if they are get-able at all..... ;)

If you´re located in the US, i´d advise to get in touch with some fellow hobbyists from Florida, Deinopis spinosa is living there. If you can manage to talk somebody to go out and catch some for you, you shouldn´t have any trouble with getting hold of them. I checked the Florida laws regarding this species last year and learned, that there´s no conservation status on this species. Some guys from there told me, they see some from time to time, so finding them shouldn´t be a too hard problem...

If you don´t live in Oz i guess you have bad cards woth getting hold of D. subrufa, which is an australian species. Unfortunately, there´s a complete export-ban on living animals form australia.
If you should happen to live in Australia, just get in touch with some guys that live where these spiders are common and talk them into a deal.

Greetings,

Stefan
