It's my first time to mate scorpions and I think I got a successful fist attempt.
The quetion is the male brought out a spermatophore then he dragged the female forward and backwards for so many times on top of the spermatophore. When they finally stopped he dragged her away from the "stage" and when I looked there was this thing which I think is the spermatophore, it looks like a bent toothpick or a cricket leg. Was this suppose to be taken in by the female? I was not able to see during their mating if this thing was covered with sperm.
How long can I possibly see signs of her being gravid? I keep her on a diet of 2 cricks a week so she is not fat, am I suppose to give more food now that she is mated? Will I need to let them mate again to be sure she gets pregnant?
