Walked into my room just now and my heterometrus laoticus did the fastest reverse sprint from the far end of her enclosure to her hide

Never seen those little legs move so fast! And backwards! {D

Just shows how fast these things are.. even the apparently bigger slower scorps can move like lightening when spooked!

Yup, almost all scorps can sprint backwards almost as fast as forwards :)

And some do it as easy as they perform forward movements. Species in genera such as Cheloctonus, Opisthacanthus and Lychas, can make instantaneously rapid rearward and forward sprints of amazing speed.
My I3 O. asper move as surely rearward as they do forward.

yeh she seemed to move as fast as if moving forwards.. she slowly edging back out of her cave now.. i just thought that from that distance (around a foot away from her hide) she wud turn and run.. but she moved back so fast it was like pressing rewind on a clip of her coming out of the cave!
