sometimes when shes sitting at the enterance like this the cricket will run by, if shes hungry enough she will venture out of the web and wait in a spot where a cricket might run past

My a. avicularia has still not webbed after a few weeks. It just sits on the glass (ignores the branches). I'm sort of worried about when it's going to come down and take the crickets that are running around on the surface.

I'm new to arboreals as well so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

1. sometimes they wait for food and sometimes they go and get it 2. when they block off their web sometimes it means they are going to molt. it could be a few days or weeks. 3. you shouldn't have crickets running around on the surface. if they don't eat them within a day take them out.

I find that if arboreals are really hungry they will hunt close to the ground, but if they are only slightly interested they will grab crickets when they run up the walls as the opportunity presents itself. If a cricket is uneaten after two days i would say remove it.

I tend to find the crickets are stupid enough to eventually walk into the webbing and go a bit further up. Just throw one in, they will find it.

ghost is that cardboard in your tank?
yea its a piece of cardboard that sits in the lip on the top of the tank right below the screen cover. its to stop the T from making the web onto the screen so i have to destroy it every time i open the tank, it webs to the cardboard instead.
