A. anax breeding question

My female anax made it here safely ( thanks Russel) inspite of the USPS. She is in her new home hanging out in a clay pot. The male i have has been waitign anxiously for her to arrive.. The question is how long should i let her settle in before introducing the male for mating?

I would say at least a few days to maybe even a week...... Rushing it can be risky.... Sometimes when I get males in the mail I will let him settle for a few hours, but its different with the female coming to you... She needs time to get adjusted. There is no huge rush. I say wait a week...feed her some if she takes food. Then next weekend take a crack at it and see how it goes.

I'd give her 2 weeks. I have a female I just got who is going to be bred but I'm in the same spot, waiting for her to settle in. I'm giving mine two weeks.
