One of my L. striatus just molted and...

But he's only 2.5" and barely a juvenile let alone mature!

Yup, that's a spur. Congratulations! It's a mature male. :)

Looks like a spur to me, but as I am not familiar with this species, hopefully more people will respond for you.
Happy hunting.

You're not wrong, I've just spotted the boxing gloves too :)

There's obviously a lot of sexual dimorphism with male L. striatus then!

We'll see how his 7 siblings get on, ironically they're all much smaller at the same age!

Here he is in all his miniature glory:

He's significantly smaller than my A. avic male was

Maybe he's not an L. striatus? :?

sometimes males are just small. Ive seen p. murinus mature at less than 3 inches.

BTW what kind of camera did u use for that close up? I gotta get a cam for pics like that.

I guess so, he's going to have his work cut out though I've heard talk of 8"+ (presumably female ;) ) striatus!

Camera is a Canon 20D + Canon 100mm macro at 1:1 :)

Here he is compared to one of his smaller siblings, quite a difference, I wonder if the tiddler will turn out to be a female, mind you given she's two years old I might not live to see it!
