kitchen guest

found this guy hanging out in my kitchen when i reached to grab a paper towel. i'm thinking its an Argiope, but i couldn't figure out which species it was looking around on the internet. most of the pictures are of the females which i think look a lot better and are a bit larger.


i caught it and took a few pictures before letting it go in the bushes near my front door. i'm hoping it will build a web there where i can see it.



the other day i found this in our house...i don't know anything about it and was wondering if anyone here did?

Pholcus phalangioides perhaps???
