A week ago I left my flat to visit my family and when I came back... my female of Ethmostigmus sp. "blue-ring leg', obout 15cm long is laying some eggs :) :) :)
It's quite interestig - since I've got her (above a year) she has no contact with any other specimen) and... (this is the best {D ) I feed her few weeks ago a piece of brie chees. She enjoy it :D

Mayby i discover a new way to stimulate centipedes to laying eggs (joke) {D

Pictures soon...

Regards
Greg

Mmm brie... Did you give her some wine too? ;) I wonder if it had something to do with the Penicillium fungi that is used to innoculate the cheese with its yummy goodness? This would be interesting if the pedes are naturally signaled to lay eggs by fungal growth in the ecosystem. Possibly the fungi are a food sorce for the prey the pedes may eat.
