This fern has popped up with my V. Traps. It's not something I bought, or meant to buy anyway. Anybody know what kind it is? It has survived being outside where it froze several times last year. I think it's over 2 years old now. It's getting my attention now that it's starting to get bigger and doing pretty well. I thought it might be one of several wild ones I've found around central and east tx but it doesn't really look familiar:? .

I've had a similar one in a pot with a Tillandsia for a while.
I don't have anything to ID ferns from Texas, but there is probably a key you can use somewhere.

V. Trap = Venus flytrap (Dionaea muscipula)
http://www.sarracenia.com/faq/faq2000.html

Tillandsia is a genus of bromeliads- best known for its epiphtyes (Air plants) but not all are Air plants.
Here are a few of mine (All Tillandsia sp.)

Aww, ferns are so cute. =)

Looks like some sort of what we call Maidenhair fern. Whatever it is, we commonly have them growing in colonies in our woods.
