any ideas what species this is ?

i've been seeing this little(about 1/4 inch long) critter running around my desk for the last couple days and managed to get it in a deli cup this evening . to make things even better my camera decided to work for a change . i got one pic and then my camera went blind again .

he got loose again shortly after the pic and is roaming the desk again .

Neither. It's a member of the Gnaphosidae (ground spiders). Pretty small spiders but there are a lot of really nice looking species in the family.
