Sry the id thread did't work ...

I bought this one as Theraphosa blondi , but too me it looks like a apophysis.
What do you guys think?

Blondis are slightly bulkier and Apophysis have pinkish metatarsus when younger.

My crack at this was because of the girth and my guess at the age relative to the coloring of its legs.

I would say apophysis due to the more dense setation on the legs and the more slender outline, in particular of the femurs.

My guess is a blondi.
Have she moulted since you have her is it a male or female?
I think males tend to be more slender and leggy, at least I think I have read that somewere in here.
Beautiful T anyway.

Lol , i think my gues and your guesses where right about apophysis.

But there should be a better taxomonic aproach too this. Don't you think?

With only two species in the genus it appears to me that it should be fairly easy to tell them apart. Furthermore the density of leg setation and the relative robustness of the femora are pretty taxonomic if I may say so ;-)

I said that because there where more opinions about what it is. So apparantly it's not so easy. I feed my theraphosa alot less then most people would. That could be the reason that it looks a bit more slender then normal. But i agree with you about it being a apophysis.
