How to find my GBB on the loose?...

Did my first escaped T have to be my freshly molted 3+ inch gbb?...

I'm leaving the cage open and putting out water sources, anything else anyone can suggest?...
I have no idea how it got out the lid was on secure!

Erm I think you need to slow down and retype with a better sentence structure. I can't understand a word of that.

Start looking in places close to the tank it escaped from. Look in all small crevices, under stuff, anything that looks like a good hiding spot. Radiate out from there, go slow and leave no stone unturned. Also if you can close off the room do it right away so the search is one room instead of the whole house.

Good luck, odds are she's close by.

I understood it fine. It means you are not looking hard enough. I never had it work, but I always imagine that putting a heat mat on an empty cage open on the floor might attract a loose bug, especially if the rest of the room is quite chilly.

ok lol ... now it makes sense ... hope you find it. Being freshly molted I can't see it going far so best thing is to pan out from the enclosure... look in all crevices and under unit surfaces in case it is hanging upside down under a surface... at 3" it should be fairly easy to spot and the advantage with it being a GBB is the amount of webbing they do so before long there should be tell tale silk somewhere... good luck

the only things in this room are 100+ Tarantula's, a roach bin and a space heater in the middle...pretty much zero clutter.
The bad thing it doesn't have a door to be shut off...
I'm going threw the recycle bins and the laundry ect..
I would hate for something to happen to it...the good thing is it is a old farm house and there is plenty of bugs for it to eat, but all of the others rooms are to cold for this tarantula!

GBBs aren't big hiders either (in general). Every time you enter a room that has been empty for a while, do a quick scan to see if she hadn't wandered out in the open. I'd say with this, and the other points mentioned above, you have a good chance of recovering the girl. Keep your eyes open...

I wouldn't definitely think she'd turn up somewhere, soon.. hopefully.. and finding a 3" spider has GOT to be easier than looking for a tiny sling.. maybe... lol

I don't have any GBBs, so I can't say where *I* would look if mine got loose..

Good luck!

Not that i have ever had this problem, but I do have a " back-up" plan if one of my T's escape. I have a half dozen cardboard chinese food containers that I would use as " hides". Put some out, and check them regularly. If you give it a place to hide than hopefully it won't find it's own.
