Is it a good idea to use calcium sand for the scorpions ?? coz one of my friend said the calcium powder in the sand is not good for scorps...

Its not that its not good but it will be a waste of money as this is more expensive than regular sand and wont do anything for your scorpion.
if you really want to give him calcium, do it through your feeders. Just out of curiosity, why the calcium supplement? I dont think its necessary but if you do, dont abuse it, it could be detrimental to your specimen. -J

Ah yes, I haven't had this conversation in a year and a half. There are amany varrying opinions as to whether or not calcium sand is ok - mine is that it is not. Think about it, it's an animal with an exoskeleton - calcium poses a detriment in that it can cause calcification of the exoskeletal structure. Do a quick search on here, and if you're on VenomList do one there too, under the scorpion section for calcium - you'll find a handfull of conversations in regards to this matter; most of which we put to rest last year because the general concensus was that it was a bad idea.
