When did your versi sling lose its blue?
At what size did your versi start going from "sling blue" to more adult colours?
My 1" LS versi (maybe a little less, maybe a little more) is starting to get adult colouration already... but 1.5" versi slings that I have seen are still solid, bright blue

Well, that's my point... mine, at 1", already has a metallic green sheen going on under the blue ?? Is that typical for them to start losing blue when they are so small?

Ours is about 1" and it's still really blue. I'm thinking perhaps with its next molt it will start showing. I guess it depends on the individual T.

+1 I believe each T may be a little different than the next.

I just went and looked at my two versi's. The smaller is about an inch, molted 2 weeks ago, and is still very blue.
The other is 1.5", maybe just a tad bigger, and at first glance looks all blue but if I inspect with a led flashlight there is definatly a green sheen under all that blue. |

Mayby about 2" (its had i think 2 molts since and is now a bit over 4" so the colour change i think was about 2-3" total length- It was deffinitly larger then 1" though) or so. It took 2 molts. First it got a reddish abdomen then the dext was adult colours.

They lose the blue, and kind of go through a "blah" stage as a subadult, then the adult colors kick in nicely, sometimes shockingly after a single molt.

Thanks yall! The green sheen on mine is really evident, if you just look at him.. it's a really weird colour lol
I guess he's just doing things his own way.. which works for me!

My 1.5" versi's carapace has had a small bit of green iridescence since the molt before last. Although it is quite faint....even in the right lighting. I just checked in on her, and if you put an LED directly on her, you can barely see traces of green up through the femurs of the legs. She actually is starting to look about due for a molt, but I don't expect her to molt until sometime around Thanksgiving, so here's to hoping!!!
Took this one last week: ![]()

And Jezebel is definitely bigger than my Loh.. strange!
Loh's green is evident without any other light source.. just looking in on him, you can tell.

It's bizarre, isn't it? You might have a pretty little red furball before I do!!!!
![]() I already mentioned this in your photo thread, but I wonder if gender and/or husbandry play a part in the color transformation.

Want to do week-by-week comparisons, and look back at how we've already raised them? lol
Loh has been, by far, one of my easiest slings to raise... I was deathly afraid of him when I first got him as a 2nd instar sling because he was SO damn tiny! But he has been a piece of cake! (chocolate cake. with rainbow chip frosting. LOL)

Are you using a database program to keep track of records? Like you said elsewhere, comparing notes would be fun, if anything else.
