Two beaked bird!!!

I just saw the most amazing thing, a starling with 2 seperate beaks! It was not one beak that was broken, it was 2 mouths! The beaks start out straight, but then cross at the end like the type of bird called a crossbill. This particular bird was plump but not with the rest of the flock, it picked up food like using chopsticks, and being people feed cats here and put up bird feeders it always has access to food so it wont starve. Tried to take a picture but it comes out blurry. I am going to keep trying when it comes around for a picture to show you all.

is that just the type of bird (crossbeak or whatever, forget the common name) or was it an anomoly?

It was a Starling with this deformity, they usually have straight beaks, and it had 2 mouths, thats not normal for any bird. The beak looks like a crossbeak. something like this but more twisted,

Here is a normal starling-

Here is my crappy rendition of the 2 beaked starling, it had 4 nostrils (2 per beak)

Both mouths opened but only 1 can pick up food.

sounds very weird if it's 2 separate beaks. i know you are already probably trying, but it would be great to see a pic (not just a drawing. an excellent drawing i mean

I'll keep trying, from a distance he/she blends in, but up close you notice the beaks. Being its almost Winter I think he/she will be sticking around to fatten up, so i'll keep my camera close by!

Yeah, get some bird seed to put out and it may come by (since it's winter, it's going to have a hard time finding food) and get pictures when it does come.

I doubt any laws protect starlings(please chck first). But a baited trap(maze type) could be worth a try(or a slingshot but I think you'd much prefer to get something like this alive should it turn out truly unique)
