I see one like this pop up every couple months here or on VL. They never last long, difficult for them to molt. It's too bad really.

crazy looking guys. Out of the hundreds of c. sculps I've CB I have never had one with two tails. It's interesting that this species is the one I see most with this oddity

Because of the angles, I think it might have a striving chance at making through the next molt. That is assuming there is nothing wrong with the internals.

yeah i think the postion of the split should give it an advantage of getting through moults

seen the 2 tails, guess it's somewhat common. they never seem to survive long. with the split mesasoma you may have one that can molt, but still would'nt bet on it. If it makes it to adult size it will be the first I've seen.

question! not necessarily in his case, but just in general do u think they would have a higher chance for survival if u amputated one of his tails?

No, I think amputating one of them would most likely kill it.

I wouldn't suggest doing this to the scorpion, or any kind of creature.
Go to a veteranarian or a Scorpion specialist to figure something like
this out.

I would just leave it be and see what happens. If it does not make it after the molting process i would take it and have it cast in resin or something of that nature. If it does make it through the molt i would send it to this guy on AB that goes under the handle "jadespider1985" he would be able to put it to good use :)
Cheers
